Pelvic Floor Therapy
Specialized care for women’s pelvic health
Pelvic floor dysfunction is common—and treatable. Our specially trained therapists provide compassionate, individualized care to help reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
What is Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?
Our pelvic floor is made up of a layered group of muscles in the pelvic area. Similar to a sling, our pelvic muscles support the bladder, uterus (in women), prostate (in men), and the rectum. If these ligaments and connective tissue that support pelvic organs don’t work as they should, the following symptoms may occur:
- Frequent urination or an urgent need to go to the bathroom
- Urinary or bowel incontinence
- Constipation
- Painful intercourse
- Pelvic pain or pressure
- Tailbone, lower back, or hip pain
We treat conditions such as:
- Diastasis recti
- Painful intercourse
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pelvic pain or pressure
- Pregnancy and postpartum recovery
- SI joint, hip, or tailbone pain
- Urinary or bowel incontinence or urgency
What to expect:
- One-on-one care
- Comprehensive evaluation
- Internal and external assessments (when appropriate)
- Education, manual therapy, biofeedback, and customized exercises
Our therapists have advanced pelvic health training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and focus primarily on women’s pelvic health. Patients must be 18 years or older.
Vestibular & Vertigo Rehabilitation
If you experience dizziness, imbalance, or frequent falls, vestibular rehabilitation may help. This targeted therapy addresses inner ear and balance disorders using proven techniques to improve stability and confidence.
