Rochelle Community Hospital is growing to better serve our community. As part of a multi-year facilities improvement initiative, we’re making important updates across our campus to enhance access, comfort, and care. Rochelle Community Hospital is beginning an exciting expansion of the Health & Wellness Building on the south side of campus.
What’s Included
This expansion will bring several services together in one convenient location:
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Pulmonary Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
All under one roof for easier access and coordinated care.

Construction to the Health & Wellness Building began, starting with building a new entrance to the north of the stairwell, facing 3rd Street.

The process of relocating the Health & Wellness Building doors took place. Creating the alternate 3rd Street entrance to the Health & Wellness Building.
October 1, 2025
Schmeling Construction Company started the process of closing the entrance to the Health & Wellness Center from 2nd Street, officially closing that entrance.

Steel was delivered and the expansion officially began to take shape.
November 2025
The construction team spent the month finishing the roof and enclosing the addition with insulation to continue the steady progress in the interior throughout the winter months.

Schmeling Construction has closed the stairwell that leads to FHC & XCEL Orthopedic clinics, as well as the front entrance to Cardiac Rehab at this time.

RCH entered 2026 with a solid finish to 2025. The outer cement walls have been finished on the addition and now focus can fully continue in the interior.
