The Board of Trustees at Rochelle Community Hospital has named Karen Tracy as their new Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2023. Karen brings 31 years of steady growth and increased responsibility during her time with RCH. She has been a Registered Nurse for 32 years, a member of the Administrative Team for 20 years and has served as second in command to the CEO for the past 10 years.

Karen has been actively responsible for quality process improvement and risk management functions since 1998, with The Joint Commission survey leadership to the entire staff since 1999. She has provided surveillance and support for improved patient safety through active policy implementation. She expanded and improved patient relations through active listening and resolution. Karen researched and implemented the Corporate Compliance Program for RCH and expanded Case Management to improve continuity to the patients on the Medical Surgical Floor. She serves as a Physician liaison and is involved in recruitment and retention of providers including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. During her tenure as an Administrator she has been part of the vision for three expansion projects: 2005 Surgical and Emergency Services; 2016 Health and Wellness Center; and 2023 XCEL Orthopedics expansion to Sycamore.
