This quarterly award recognizes employees who display positive behaviors and characteristics as defined in our Dare to Soar standards, values and RCH mission. Employees receiving this award demonstrate these behaviors and characteristics on a consistent basis. Selection for this award recognizes these employees for their outstanding commitment and demonstration of concern, respect, and professionalism.
The Pillar of Excellence Award is a step above the typical ’employee of the month’ model of recognition. In order to receive this award, employees are nominated by a co-worker that fills out a nomination form that must fully illustrate how the employee demonstrates EXCELLENCE IN EACH CATEGORY of our Dare to Soar values. The application that meets the standards of the application as well as the award is chosen by our Employer of Choice team.

When faced with challenges, Julia doesn’t back down – she dives in headfirst, determined to find solutions and overcome any obstacles that come her way. Her unwavering dedication is what sets her apart and makes her an invaluable asset to the success of the clinic.
Leadership
Julia is a valued leader within our clinic, serving as the Epic Super User and a vital point-of-contact for staff members and end-users navigating the Epic system. Her expertise and dedication make her the go-to resource for learning new functionalities and navigating system implementations. Julia’s hard work and willingness to collaborate ensure that processes run smoothly, and the team can continue their work seamlessly. Her efforts behind the scenes allow the team to operate efficiently.
Professionalism
Julia has consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication in her work over the past 2-3 years as out Clinic Coordinator. She has taken on various projects without hesitation, such as joining the ACO Committee, completing Care Coordination courses, becoming an EPIC Super User, and overseeing the revamping and maintenance of the laboratory at FHC. Additionally, she has been actively involved in running CLIA waived lessons and testing, organizing COMP sessions for clinical staff, and conducting daily and monthly clinic checks. Julia’s commitment to excellence and willingness to contribute in multiple capacities make her a valuable asset to our team.
Teamwork
Julia exemplifies a strong sense of teamwork and dedication in her role, stepping in to assist wherever needed without hesitation. Whether it’s helping with triage calls, managing faxes and referrals in the absence of an MOA, or stepping in to room patients and keep operations running smoothly in the clinic, she consistently puts the needs of the practice and its patients first. Her willingness to take on various tasks and support her colleagues showcases her strong commitment to teamwork and ensures the clinic continues to operate efficiently.
Communication
Julia’s role in communication within the organization is instrumental in keeping the team informed and supported. Through secure chat, she efficiently transmits relevant information to individuals. By regularly checking in with staff members and offering assistance as needed, she ensures everyone is well-attended to. The implementation of a communication bulletin board further enhances necessary information, with Julia diligently updating it as required. Her willingness to engage with staff members to address any potential issues showcases her dedication to facilitating effective problem-solving within the team.
Ownership
Julia’s leadership style in addressing issues pertaining to ownership is characterized by her fearlessness in calling out those who are not upholding standards. She adopts a direct approach, providing a rationale for why certain actions are incorrect, fostering upfront and open communication while enabling a direct learning experience. Moreover, Julia ensures that all employees within the organization demonstrate kindness and respect towards one
another, patients, families, and colleagues. In instances where negative situations arise, she actively engages in conversations addressing behavior that requires attention, ultimately contributing to a cohesive and respectful work environment.

One of the key focuses I have identified for FHC is a commitment to standardization. Julia has been instrumental in collaborating on projects aimed at achieving this goal. Through her active participation, she consistently introduces innovative ideas for new processes that have the potential to enhance standardization within our organization. An example of this is her adeptness in developing, training on, and implementing dot phrases. The utilization of dot phrases has enabled our staff to employ a standardized set of prompts, ensuring accurate information gathering in various scenarios. This has greatly benefitted our patient care services, and I am grateful for Julia’s contributions in this area.
Excellence
Julia’s commitment to excellence in patient care at FHC is evident in her daily interactions. She consistently demonstrates attentiveness to patient needs, a collaborative approach with providers, and genuine kindness and compassion in her work. Her dedication to ensuring that patients receive the best possible healthcare reflects a deep understanding of the importance of compassionate care.
