Heart disease is the number one cause of death for men and women in the United States, with more than 600,000 people dying from heart disease each year. That averages out to be about 1 in every 4 deaths. Rochelle Community Hospital is doing its part in the fight against heart disease by educating patients about risk factors and what to do when they see any signs or symptoms of heart attack or stroke. But we also understand the importance of having expert heart care, right here in Rochelle.

Can I transfer to Rockford for Advanced Cardiac Care?
Rochelle Community Hospital and RCA have made it easy for patients to do their cardiac rehab and regular visits here in Rochelle. But there are some circumstances that a higher level of cardiac care will be needed – especially in heart attack or stroke situations. Anytime you are being transferred to another facility, you should let the doctor transferring you know who your cardiologist is. Every effort is made to transfer you to your cardiology provider. If RCA is your cardiology group, your RCA cardiologist will work together with the RCA team to provide preventative, diagnostic and interventional care.
