Two Rochelle Community Hospital Clinics Will Close
ROCHELLE, IL—The Administration and Board of Trustees at Rochelle Community Hospital have announced plans to close the Ashton Family Health Center and the FastCare Clinic located inside Walmart after the first of the new year.
“This is a very difficult decision. Despite our desire and commitment to sustain these clinics, we have determined that we are unable to keep them open,” stated Mark J. Batty, RCH Chief Executive Officer. “It has been our pleasure to meet the healthcare needs of the patients at each of these clinics, and arrangements are being made to continue these services at our other locations, which will include walk-in no appointment visits.”
The Urgent Care Clinic at RCH currently offers service on a walk-in basis Monday-Friday 6:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon and Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Patients seeking a primary care physician may contact one of RCH’s providers in Rochelle:
Diana Alanis, M.D., Sushmita Prathipati, M.D. or Family Nurse Practitioner Sara Twardowski at Rochelle Medical Group, 510 Lincoln Highway, Rochelle, 815-561-8335 or Jason Popp, M.D., Family HealthCare Center, 822 N. 2nd Street, Rochelle, 815-562-3784.
The employees affected by this decision are being offered suitable positions to remain employed at RCH. The last day of operation at both locations will be Friday, January 30, 2015.
