"Head Strong" Presentation
Our community presentation last evening, "Head Strong: Exercise Strategies to Enhance Memory and Thinking" was led by Karla Belzer of the University of Illinois Extension office who engaged all of us with fun and interesting activities.
In summary, healthy brains benefit from:
-Getting enough and good sleep
-Eating a heart healthy diet
-Exercising regularly (3 times a week for 30 minutes)
-Having social and emotional support
-Challenging your brain with newness and novelty.
