RCH Celebrates 100 Years
Rochelle Community Hospital will be marking 100 years of healthcare with a community celebration on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hospital. Join in the festivities marking this significant achievement in RCH history offering a variety of activities the whole family can enjoy.
The Mega Body™, sponsored by OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, will be the featured exhibit. This walk thru 55-foot inflatable interactive medical exhibit educates visitors about the various systems of the human body.
RCH physicians and nurse practitioners will be on hand to greet you at the Family Healthcare Center. Ride your bike to the hospital and we’ll check the fit and mechanics. While you’re there, register to win a free child’s bike with helmet and learn more about the new bike route in the community.
Rochelle’s Fire Department and Police Department will showcase some of their equipment including a fire truck, ambulance, the fire safety house and squad cars. Also, the Lifeline helicopter will be present and you can go to the heliport and visit with the crew.
Kids’ activities include a petting zoo, face painting and a toy checkup station. Children are invited to bring their dolls or favorite toy and a nurse will “examine” them and present the child’s toy with a certificate of good health. Then, stop by Cliff’s Donuts and More to enjoy some refreshments.
Employees will greet visitors at each entrance of the hospital and provide maps indicating the day’s activities and their locations. The map will assist you in your self-guided tour through the facility to visit various departments where staff will be on hand to answer any questions. Register for prize drawings in each department.
Take pride in the lives that are saved and improved through the services offered at your community hospital. Please join us as we celebrate this milestone.
