Winner of RCH "Name the Mascot" Contest Announced
Over the last four weeks, Rochelle Community Hospital invited area children, from kindergarten to sixth grade, to submit a name for the hospital’s new bear mascot. After receiving a total of 186 entries, RCH staff chose from five of their favorite entries to determine a winner.
The winning entry, “Carington”, was submitted by Garrett Gensler. Garrett and his family were in attendance at the RCH Health Fair this last Saturday when his name was announced as the winner of the contest.
For his efforts, Garrett received a Kindle reader, kids’ edition, and will appear on the RCH holiday float with Carington this December.
Rochelle Community Hospital would like to thank all of the children who took the time and effort to help name the mascot. Look for Carington at future events!
