RCH Breaking Ground for New Medical Office Building
ROCHELLE, IL---Rochelle Community Hospital will be breaking ground for a new 26,000 square foot medical office building on Tuesday, June 16 at 10 a.m.
This new facility will connect to the south side of the hospital where Family Healthcare is currently located. The first floor of this new space will house the cardiac rehabilitation department, fitness center and the multi-specialty center. The second story will combine the current medical staff offices of Rochelle Medical Group and the Family Healthcare Center with additional room for growth. The anticipated opening of the new facility is early 2016.
“We are excited to get the building process underway. This new space will offer more possibilities and opportunities to better meet the needs of our patients right here on our campus,” said Mark Batty, RCH Chief Executive Officer.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, attendees will be invited to sign a steel beam that will become a permanent part of the new building to be displayed in the cardiac rehabilitation area. A future date with another opportunity for area residents to sign the beam is being identified and will be announced in the near future.
The design builder is ERDMAN™ from Madison, WI. ERDMAN™ is consistently ranked among the top healthcare facility firms by several institutions, such as Modern Healthcare and ENR, among others. For more information, visit www.erdman.com.
