Staff

Our Clinic is staffed by two Registered Nurses during the day and by a Certified Nursing Assistant at night.  Our clinic manager is an Registered Nurse with many years' experience in Occupational Health and at Rochelle Community Hospital.  All members of our staff are trained in Urine Drug Collection and Breath Alcohol Collection.  We have three staff members who are trained as CPR and First Aid Instructors, as well as Industrial Audiological Technicians.  

We also have a Physician Assistant and a Nurse Practitioner on staff.  Our Physician Assistant is Amanda Rogde, who works full time for a family practice physician in Mendota.  She has been a Physician Assistant since 2001.  Lucinda Zoeller is our Nurse Practitioner.  She works full-time at the Sterling-Rock Falls Clinic.  She has been an Advanced Practice Nurse for many years.  Our Advanced Practice is overseen by one of our active staff physicians, Dr. Pitamber Persaud.  Our Advanced Practice Staff works approximately 10 hours per week to perform DOT and pre-employment physicals for us at the clinic location.  Our clinic strives to perform Occupational Health Services with no waiting time to get your employees back to work quickly. 

About Our Program

The Occupational Health Program at Rochelle Community Hospital was begun in 1993.  It started as a way to provide healthcare services to our local employers in a cost-efficient manner, utilizing the services we already had in place at RCH.  Most of our area employers cannot afford to staff a company nurse, so in many cases, our occupational health program functions in that role. 

To date, we have provided Occupational Health Services to over 160 area employers, including those located in Rochelle, Ashton, Creston, Lee, Amboy, Sublette and DeKalb.  We have also put together a Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Program for area trucking companies,  along with farmers and township supervisors to help them meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation at a low cost.  We have set up a program through our Emergency Department for care and follow-up of work-related injuries at cost discounts to the employers.

In November of 2002, we opened a clinic that provides nothing but Occupational Health Services at the Rochelle Travel Plaza. This location was chosen based on the fact that over 2 million people visit this facility annually. Many of them fall under the Department of Transportation requirements to have random drug and alcohol testing, as well as physicals every two years. 

With the arrival of more industry in Rochelle, we only expect our business to grow and prosper.  With the warehousing industries that are planned for this area, we anticipate more transportation businesses that will benefit from our services.
