At Rochelle Community Hospital, we can help you strengthen your heart so you can live life more fully and actively. When you are referred to us, you are no longer a patient, but an active partner in managing your heart health issues.
Our qualified Cardiac Rehabilitation staff works with you to create an individualized program that focuses on education, exercise and nutrition - all with your needs in mind.
As part of our unique Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, your individual needs will be assessed and you will assist in creating a program that promotes positive lifestyle changes, improves your heart health and reduces your risk of future heart problems.
Who Will Assist You?
Our highly trained Registered Nurses and Exercise Physiologist are recognized professionals specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation. They are best known for their warmth and compassion with patients and their families.
What Can You Expect from the Rehab Program?
The program will help you to:
- Learn about your heart - how it works and what important signs and symptoms you should report to your doctor.
- Identify specific exercises, plus the appropriate intensity, duration and pace that are best suited for your health.
- Discover your own physical capabilities.
- Gain confidence in resuming your favorite activities at a safe, progressive rate after a cardiac incident.
- Select realistic strategies to lower coronary risk factors.
- Cope emotionally and physically with your condition.
- Increase muscle tone and metabolism, which will keep you healthier and active longer.
What Does Insurance Cover?
Cardiac Rehabilitation may be paid partially or completely by your private insurance plan or Medicare. Most plans cover 80%, but we will determine this for you prior to starting the program.
