Foundation Readies for 7th Annual Hospital Hustle

The Rochelle Community Hospital Foundation will host the 7th Annual Hospital Hustle 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 1, 2013. This year's race will begin at the Rochelle Township High School campus at 1406 Flagg Road, follow the bike path to Atwood Park and back providing additional parking for supporters and participants.

As an added challenge this year, anyone who beats the time of RCH Chief Executive Officer Mark Batty will be entered into a drawing for a Fitbit Pedometer. The Fitbit links to computers and iPhones and is valued at $50. Also any registered participant will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa® gift card

Awards will be presented to various age divisions ranging from youth to 70 and over for both male and female. A plaque will be awarded to the fastest team. No pets or strollers on the course please. Please complete a Registration/Sponsorship form. The event encourages team participation. Placement is determined by the average scores of the first three members of the team that cross the finish line. A registration form must be completed for each participant. Pre-registration is $20 until May 31, or $25 the day of the race from 7 a.m.-7:45 a.m. This year's funds will go toward cardiac and bedside monitor upgrades.

Last year's overall winners were Dan Palmer, age 35, of Roscoe with a time of 18:47, and Trese McNinch, age 30, of Amboy with a time of 21:11.
